Regelbau R505 - PAK Casemate - Wargaming 3D Printed Model

The Regelbau 505 was an artillery bunker from the Westwall (Siegfried-Linie). This bunker was designed to house a 37mm PAK 35/36.

The Regelbau 505 was used to deploy the 3.7 cm Pak 36 and the 4.2 cm Pak 41 in flanking action. In addition, the 4.5 cm Pak 184 (r) and the 4.5 cm Pak 184/1 (r) could be used. The traverse field of the guns was 60°, the elevation field for the 3.7 cm anti-tank gun +/- 10°, for the 4.2 cm anti-tank gun +/- 9. For firing, the anti-tank gun was placed on a rotating bed, from which it could be shut down for use in a non-covered firing position. The Regelbau 505 came from the War Regelbau program. This series was characterized by the fact that material savings had top priority in its development. In order to save material, the thickness of the inner walls was reduced, including that of the fighting compartment.

In the control building there was room for accommodating 1 non-commissioned officer and 5 teams. Up to 1,000 rounds of ammunition could be accommodated in the ammunition room.
