MK1 Tank WW1 - STL

This is a highly detailed 3D model of a MK1 Tank from WW1 - modelled by 3D fortress, prepared and distributed under license by Digital Taxidermy

The tank came about during WW1 as a way to break the deadlock of trench warfare, following the development from the first tank, named 'little willy' the MK1 tank saw action first of all at the battle of the Somme and then after some refinements was deployed en masse at the battle Cambrai.

At 28mm scale it can be printed on an FDM printer with a 0.4mm nozzle, resin is recommended for best finish

There is one version that has been split specifically for FDM printing and had the cage removed, the resin model is a single piece model.

This STL file is designed for resin Printers and supports are required for this model.

The printed model measures approx.:

111mm x 199mm x 65mm @28mm scale

We have a handy calculator for resizing files for 3D printing over at scale-converters

It is designed for 28mm table top games set in WW2 such as:

Bolt Action, Chain of Command and Konflikt ’47. It can also be used in games such as Judge Dredd, Necromunda, and Fallout Wasteland Warfare.

See the blog post notes on scales about resizing STL files.

Some of the images supplied are computer generated and are for reference. They are images of the files that will be 3D printed.

Print in place parts may need some work to loosen them up after print. Once free, run them through full travel several times to wear them in.
